As we hit the peak of the morning rush, things have slowed down markedly on 694 through Brooklyn Center and New Brighton.

Westbound traffic is creeping along from 35E to Central Avenue. Eastbound bunches up at Long Lake Road and remain tight over to Rice Street.

I'm seeing unusually heavy traffic on northbound 35E from 494 up to Grand Avenue. That will take 12 to 14 minutes.

As usual, 494 is crowded in both directions between Hwy. 5 and Hwy. 100. That is 15 to 18 minutes.

Eastbound 394 has a pocket of congestion between Hwy. 169 and Hwy. 100.

Look for a State Trooper and police activity on the right shoulder of southbound 494 at Hwy. 62 in Eden Prairie.
