7:45 a.m. update: Still miserable on Hwy. 169 in New Hope

A crash on southbound Hwy. 169 at Medicine Lake Road is finally gone, but traffic jams are not. The backup extends back to 63rd Avenue. Plan on a 20-minute trip down to Hwy. 7.

Look for a fender bender on the right shoulder of westbound Hwy. 5 at Hwy. 55 near the Mendota Bridge, and som sluggish traffic from County 42 up to 98th Street on northbound 35W through Burnsville and Bloomington.
