7:45 a.m. update: Road work, crash has traffic cramming on I-94 in Minneapolis

A combination of a crash near Franklin Avenue and road work that has the right lane closed from Huron Blvd. to Hwy. 280 is taking it toll on rush hour traffic. Things jam up at Cedar Avenue and are nose to nose past Hwy. 280.

Westbound Hwy. 36 is hardly moving from Edgerton Street over to Lexington Avenue. A crash on the eastbound lanes at Edgerton might be part of the reason. That crash does have the ramp from northbound 35E to eastbound Hwy. 36 shut down.

In Lakeville, the backup on northbound I-35 begins at 205th Street as crash clean up continues in the left lane ahead at County Road 50.
