7:45 a.m. update: Filling in on 494 and Crosstown

Both the Crosstown and 494 are filling in between Hwy. 169 and 35W. Plan on an extra 5 minutes on that trip. Still, that's not bad compared to most days.

Perhaps people are getting a late start, but roads are starting to fill in as we approach the peak of the rush hour.

Our trouble spots include westbound 94 in St. Paul where a crash is blocking the left lane at Hwy. 61. Plan on 10 minutes to reach downtown St. Paul from White Bear Avenue.

In the south metro, a pair of incidents on northbound Cedar Avenue is slowing traffic from 35E up to the Minnesota River bridge. The big wreck involving a motorcycle is at Diffley Road.

Both the Crosstown and 494 are filling in between Hwy. 169 and 35W. Plan on an extra 5 minutes on that trip. Still, that's not bad compared to most days.

On southbound 494, it's 20 minutes from 94 down to Crosstown. Look for a stalled vehicle on the right shoulder at Hwy. 55.
