7:40 a.m. update: Typical congestion

No delays reported on Metro Transit buses or rails. No reports of any problems on any of the suburban transit providers, either.

Drivers on southbound 35W are in for a long drive as congestion is making the trip from Lake Drive to downtown Minneapolis 30 to 35 minutes.

Bloomington drivers also are hitting the brakes on westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100.

Elsewhere, there are slow pockets on eastbound 694 approaching 35W and through the construction zone to the east.

The Crosstown is flowing pretty well for this hour of the day. It's only 9 minutes in both directions between Hwy. 100 and 28th Avenue.

No delays reported on Metro Transit buses or rails. No reports of any problems on any of the suburban transit providers, either.
