As we hit the peak of the morning rush hour, I'm seeing much heavier traffic levels on 494 in Plymouth and Bloomington.

The drive on southbound 494 from 94 to 394 is now at 18 minutes.

On 494 through Bloomington, it's 15 to 18 minutes in each direction from Hwy. 169 over to Cedar Avenue.

As usual, the drive on 35W southbound is heavy from Lake Drive to Hwy. 280. That will cost you 20 minutes.

On westbound 694 through New Brighton and Arden Hills, plan on 15 minutes from 35E to Hwy. 252. Traffic is heaviest in the work zone near Hwy. 10. Eastbound jams up from Silver Lake Road over to Hwy. 10.

Look for pockets of congestion on eastbound 394 between Hwy. 169 and Hwy. 100.

In Minneapolis, both westbound 94 and northbound 35W slow approaching the downtown exits.

Look for brake lights on eastbound 94 from Hwy. 55 to the Lowry Hill Tunnel. Plan on 12 minutes to reach 35W.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
