7:40 a.m. update: Current travel times

About the only snag on the system at this hour is a crash that has been moved to the right shoulder on southbound I-35W at County Road 96. The backup begins just south of County Road I. That's adding about 3 to 4 minutes to the drive.

Elsewhere, traffic is moving at or just below the posted speeds in most places. Look for pockets of congestion on westbound 694 from Central Avenue to Hwy. 252, northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Minnesota River and on southbound 169 from 94 to Rockford Road.
