7:40 a.m. update: A grind on I-94 in east metro

A crash on the right shoulder is all it has taken to gum up traffic from the Hudson Bridge into downtown St. Paul. The wreck is at Neal Avenue. Things jam up again ahead from McKnight Road to downtown St. Paul. Total drive time is 27 minutes.

Our crash on southbound 35E at County H2 is now gone, but traffic still is tight from Main Street to County Road J. Things also loose steam from Roselawn Avenue to downtown St. Paul.

Somebody jettisoned a folding chair in the lanes of northbound/eastbound 494 at Carver Avenue. Look for a mini jam in the area.
