Tow truck drivers and police are earning their pay today in the south metro.

No fewer than four crashes are tangling traffic on 494 in both directions between Hwy. 5 and Lake Road. The worst is westbound with wrecks and spinouts at Carver, Maxwell, Tamarack, Hwy. 5 and Concord. Better call in late for work.

Northbound 35 in Lakeville has been plagued with wrecks. Two currently in place are at County Road 50 and another at County Road 46. It's a parking lot from south of 210th Street.

Eastbound Crosstown is inching along from Gleason Road to the 35W commons. There is a wreck between Penn Avenue and Lyndale Avenue.

A new wreck is on northbound Hwy. 100 at 77th Street.
