7:30 a.m. update: Tight on 694, but nice elsewhere

Drivers on westbound 694 have plenty of company between Central Avenue and Hwy. 100, and that is adding a few extra minutes to the drive. But we can take that considering the delays that we had through there earlier this week.

Drivers on westbound 694 have plenty of company between Central Avenue and Hwy. 100, and that is adding a few extra minutes to the drive. But we can take that considering the delays that we had through there earlier this week.

Central Avenue at 37th in Columbia Heights remains closed as crews clean up a fuel spill. A motorist hit a gas pump at Bobby and Steve's around 7 a.m.

On the roads, we have two incidents of note:

A crash on the ramp from northbound Cedar Avenue to Old Shakopee Road.

Look out for the motorist changing a tire on southbound Hwy. 52 at Plato Blvd.
