Congestion is forming on westbound I-494 between Portland and Penn Avenues, but at least traffic is moving. Plan on 8 minutes along the Strip. Eastbound doesn't seem to be having any problems.
Look for a brief slow down on southbound 494 from Bass Lake Road to Schmidt Lake Road. A motorist who had been changing a tire has completed his work and has gone on his way.
Drivers on northbound 35E have company, but not enough to slow them down more than a couple minutes. From County Road 42 to downtown St. Paul is only 17 minutes.
