7:25 a.m. update: Good driving in the south, not in the north metro

The lengthy delays on westbound 694 continue. An earlier crash at Hwy. 252 is the main reason, but there's word of another wreck in the backup near East River Road.

The lengthy delays on westbound 694 continue. An earlier crash at Hwy. 252 is the main reason, but there's word of another wreck in the backup near East River Road.

Plan on 30 to 35 minutes from 35W to Shingle Creek Pkwy.

The other slow spot is on southbound 35W due to a wreck at County Road 96.

Central Avenue is moving slower than normal. With the intersection of Hennepin and Washington Avenues closed in downtown Minneapolis, many drivers are opting to use the 3rd Avenue Bridge.

In the south metro, you'll encounter minor congestion on westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to 35W.
