7:20 a.m. update: Still jammed on I-94 in Minneapolis

Traffic on westbound I-94 continues to drag in the wake of two earlier crashes at LaSalle Avenue. The wrecks cleared about 15 minutes ago, but the sheer volume of traffic is making it difficult for things to get back up to speed. Look for sluggish conditions from Hwy. 280 over to Riverside Avenue, and slow traffic all the way to the tunnel.

The other hotspot continues to be on northbound Hwy. 52/55 in Inver Grove Heights. A wreck on northbound Hwy. 52 just north of the split has traffic backed up more than a mile. Plan on 18 minutes to reach 494 via Hwy. 55.

On a tad of good news, the crash on the Crosstown westbound at Cedar is history.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
