7:15 a.m. update: Major delays in north metro

Word is that the driver of the vehicle that caught fire on southbound 35E got out okay. The vehicle is not in as good of shape. Crews are on the scene and all lanes remained closed. Traffic is at a standstill back to the 694/35E interchange. The advice from MnDOT is to use alternate routes.

Word is that the driver of the vehicle that caught fire on southbound 35E got out okay. The vehicle is not in as good of shape. Crews are on the scene and all lanes remained closed. Traffic is at a standstill back to the 694/35E interchange. The advice from MnDOT is to use alternate routes.

Southbound 35W is also plugged from County 96 back to Lake Drive. A medical emergency is in progress at County Road 96.

Construction on southbound Hwy. 65 has traffic parked back to 109th Avenue in Blaine.
