The big backup on southbound Hwy. 169 in Champlin can be attributed to a traffic light outage at 120th Avenue. Reports say traffic stacks up to the Mississippi River bridge in Anoka.

Elsewhere a number of crashes and heavy traffic is making for a slow trudge to the office.

Here are the trouble spots in terms of crashes at this hour:

Southbound 35W at County Road 23 in Lino Lakes and ahead at Hwy. 88 in Roseville.

Northbound 35W in the HOT lane at Hwy. 13 in Burnsville.

Southbound 35E at County Road 96 in White Bear Lake.

Eastbound Hwy. 10 in the area of Round Lake Blvd.
