Yes, it really did happen this time. All southbound lanes of Hwy. 169 at Old Shakopee Road have opened. Northbound lanes are open, too, after some overnight road work.
In Brooklyn Center, the ramps to and from westbound 94/694 at Shingle Creek Pkwy. remain closed as a police investigation continues into an early morning shooting.
Congestion is absent from metro area highways and freeways, execpt for minor crowding on westbound 94 from White Bear Avenue to downtown St. Paul, and on southbound 35W from Lake Drive to 694 in the north metro.
Things also are tight on eastbound 94 through the Lowry Hill Tunnel and over to 35W. That is about 5 minutes.
