Commuters are running into delays on several routes in the south metro as a combination of accidents and road work are causing traffic to bunch up.

On westbound 494, a crash at Nicollet Avenue has cleared, but the delays remain with traffic coming to a crawl startring at 24th Avenue. Things don't loosen up until after 35W.

Eastbound/Northbound Hwy. 13 is not a good route today because the ramp to northbound 35W was closed after MnDOT crews discovered damage to the bridge over the weekend. Traffic is creeping along across the one lane that is still open. The detour takes drivers over to Cliff Road, then back to 35W.

Delays on northbound Hwy. 169 are in place from prior to Canterbury Road up to Old Shakopee Road. It's 20 minutes to reach 494.
