Commuters in the far west metro have been spared the misery motorists in the rest of the metro area are experiencing.

Just about every major route in the heart of the metro has been plagued with wrecks and stalls what with icy and snowy roads. At this hour, the State Patrol and MnDOT is dealing with 14 crashes. Here is where they are:

  • Northbound Hwy. 169 at westbound 94 in Brooklyn Park
    • Westbound 494 at Hwy. 5 in Bloomington. Ahead, look for a stall at Cedar Avenue
      • Westbound Crosstown at France Avenue
        • Southbound 35E at the Cayuga Bridge and south of downtown at Shepard Road
          • Southbound ramp from Hwy. 280 to eastbound 94 remains closed following a 20-car pile up earlier this morning. The ramp to westbound 94 is open but partially blocked with a stall
            • Westbound Hwy. 610 at Hwy. 169
              • Eastbound Hwy. 10 at County Road J
                • Westbound Hwy. 10 at 7th Avenue in Anoka
                  • Southbound 35W just before I-694
                    • Eastbound 94 at Xerxes Avenue in Brooklyn Center
                      • Westbound 94 ramp at Hwy. 252

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
