Traffic is flowing at freeway speeds on I-35W in Bloomington and Burnsville at this hour, but turn back the clock a few hours and it was gridlock.

A semitrailer truck overturned Thursday evening, leading to what some on Twitter called the worst traffic parking lot they had ever seen.

According to media reports, the crash at 106th Street involved a truck carrying sheet metal. The crash around 5:30 p.m. tied up traffic for hours, and tested the patience of motorists.

Not too much later at 7:15, the State Patrol reported that a semi rolled over on the ramp from westbound 94 to westbound 394 in downtown Minneapolis. The patrol shut down the ramp along with the entrance from Hennepin Avenue.

Here are a few tweets that driver shared Thursday evening.
