6 a.m. update: Crash-o-rama on metro highways and freeways

The drive to the office has not been a pleasant for scores of commuters who have landed in the ditch or slammed into fellow drivers.

The drive to the office has not been a pleasant for scores of commuters who have landed in the ditch or slammed into fellow drivers.

The roads are treacherous, and that has led to rollovers, spinouts and many many accidents.

Northbound Hwy. 169 is closed at 7th Street in Hopkins where at least seven vehicles have crashed. The highway is completely blocked.

Two lanes are blocked with wreckage on southbound 35E at Hwy. 13.

It's just brutal out there, so definitely keep the speeds down and prepare to deal with the icy conditions. Here is the current list of incidents as reported by MnDOT
