6:50 a.m. update: Worst traffic award goes to Hwy. 169 in New Hope

We were all worried about the impact a construction project on 694 would have on drivers, but an unanticipated project on Hwy. 169 is causing the worst headaches this morning.

We were all worried about the impact a construction project on 694 would have on drivers, but an unanticipated project on Hwy. 169 is causing the worst headaches this morning.

The overnight work on southbound Hwy. 169 continues at 49th Avenue. It's single lane at that point, and that is causing major delays. It is 15 minutes from I-94 past the scene, and the line of cars keeps getting longer.

On westbound 694, the construction project between University Avenue to Hwy. 100 has backups back to Central Avenue, with some slowing as far back as Silver Lake Road.

The drive on northbound 35 through Lakeville is tight due to road work at Crystal Lake Road. Give yoursefl an extra 8 minutes from County 46.

In non-construction zones, the traffic on southbound 35W from Lake Drvie to Hwy. 280 is squeezed, with 24 minutes needed there.
