6:50 a.m. update: Jamming on Cedar Avenue, 35W

Big slowdowns developing in the south metro.

The snow is starting to affect traffic on northbound 35 through Lakeville and 35W as well as Cedar Avenue. Traffic is tight and speeds are well below the posted.

Traffic also is slowing on northbound Hwy. 169 from Canterbury Road to 494. That is 15 minutes.

Look for congestion on 494 in both directions from Hwy. 100 to Cedar Avenue.

On southbound Hwy. 169, it's 20 minutes from 94 down to Hwy. 7.
