6:50 a.m. update: Easy going in the metro

While commuters to the north of the metro - and I mean just north of the cities in places such as East Bethel, Wyoming and Forest Lake - have had a tough go with icy roads, things are zipping along without incident in the core of the metro.

While commuters to the north of the metro - and I mean just north of the cities in places such as East Bethel, Wyoming and Forest Lake - have had a tough go with icy roads, things are zipping along without incident in the core of the metro.

In the first two hours of the rush, we've had only two stalled vehicles (both have moved on) and no crashes to report. Knock on wood. Let's hope that trend continues.
