6:35 a.m. update: Tangled on Hwy. 169, 94 in St. Paul

A crash on the left shoulder of southbound Hwy. 169 at 394 has traffic at a near standstill as far back as Medicine Lake Road. Until this is removed, Hwy. 100 is a much better route. I 494 is another possibility.

Southbound 35E is seeing pockets of slow and go traffic from Main Street down to County 96. That will set you back 3 to 5 minutes.

Westbound 94 into St. Paul is always a tough drive. It's more complicated today due to a crash in the center lane at Hwy. 52. The snarl begins at White Bear Avenue. Plan on 15 minutes to reach 35E.
