6:25 a.m. update: Major backup on Hwy. 65 in Blaine

This is the scene on southbound Hwy. 65 through Blaine. A vehicle went into the ditch at 105th Avenue and the backup is now nearly 2 miles to near Hwy. 242. This will add 20 to 30 minutes to the drive.

This is the scene on southbound Hwy. 65 through Blaine. A vehicle went into the ditch at 105th Avenue and the backup is now nearly 2 miles to near Hwy. 242. This will add 20 to 30 minutes to the drive.

A nice pocket of stagnation is developing on southbound 494 between the Fish Lake Interchange and Bass Lake Road. Naturally, it's a wreck that is causing that.

Be very careful out there. Black ice and refreeze had made roads deceptively slippery.
