6:25 a.m. update: Ice covered roads west and north of metro

Roads in the metro are in decent shape this morning, but that is not the case west and north of the metro. MnDOT says roads are in fair condition in areas such as North Branch, Delano, St. Michael, Monticello, Albertville, Elk River, St. Francis and points north.

Roads in the metro are in decent shape this morning, but that is not the case west and north of the metro. MnDOT says roads are in fair condition in areas such as North Branch, Delano, St. Michael, Monticello, Albertville, Elk River, St. Francis and points north.

The State Patrol is reporting several spinouts and crashes on I-94 between St. Cloud and Alexandria.

To the west of the metro, roads are in difficult condition in places such as Gaylord, New Prague, Glencoe, Willmar, Mankato and points south and west.
