6:20 a.m. update: Police activity shuts down part of I-394

Police have shut down the westbound lanes of I-394 from downtown Minneapolis out to Hwy. 100 as they deal with a situation unfolding at Penn Avenue.

Police have shut down the westbound lanes of I-394 from downtown Minneapolis out to Hwy. 100 as they deal with a situation unfolding at Penn Avenue.

Traffic is being diverted to Hwy. 55.

The eastbound HOT lane is now closed at Hwy. 100. The general lanes are still open, but the left lane at Penn is blocked. Expect delays.

The ramp from southbound 94 to westbound 394 also is closed off..
