Commuters in Monticello will notice some big changes that went into effect this morning at the I-94 and Hwy. 25 interchange.

For starters, all traffic on I-94 has been shifted to temporary lanes in the area from about County Road 18 past Hwy. 25. No closures there, just a traffic switch.

Now for the closures associated with the road work:

Ramps from Hwy. 25 to eastbound I-94 are closed until September. The detour has drivers directed to use County Road 18.

Ramps from westbound 94 to Hwy. 25 are closed. Get off on County Road 18, the first Monticello exit.

Drivers who normally get on westbound 94 at County Road 18 will need to head west and get on at Hwy. 25.
