A two truck has carted away the vehicle that was mangled when it struck a deer on the ramp from Hwy. 61 to I-494 in Newport.

The wreck on eastbound 694 at Long Lake Road appears to have cleared. Look for the freeway to be two lanes from Hwy. 252 over to Long Lake Road. However, it is still down to one lane in the area of Main Street and Univeristy Avenue.

Look for a little congestion from East River Road over to University Avenue.

So far the closure of northbound Hwy 169 from Hwy. 55 to I-94 is not causing much of an issue, but that will change. MnDOT says the highway will reopen by around 2 p.m.
