5:50 a.m. update: Winter returns just north of metro, brings icy roads

The frozen precipitation is creating havoc on freeways and highways north and west of the metro. Reports indicate that I-35 is glare ice in the Stacy, Wyoming and North Branch area. In the past hour, we've had two rollover crashes between Stacy and North Branch.

The frozen precipitation is creating havoc on freeways and highways north and west of the metro. Reports indicate that I-35 is glare ice in the Stacy, Wyoming and North Branch area. In the past hour, we've had two rollover crashes between Stacy and North Branch.

Here in the metro, we have good roads. The only incident at this hour is a stalled vehicle blocking the ramp from eastbound 694 to East River Road in Fridley.
