5:50 a.m. update: Slippery in the south metro

A semitrailer truck is off the road on eastbound 494 at Hwy. 5. The right two lanes are closed and traffic is getting by in the left lane only.

That whopper of a snowstorm moving across the Midwest is grazing the metro area this morning with just enough snow to create slippery roads. The worst conditions are in the south metro.

A couple of incidents to report at this hour:

A semitrailer truck is off the road on eastbound 494 at Hwy. 5. The right two lanes are closed and traffic is getting by in the left lane only.

On northbound 35E, look for a stalled semitrailer truck on the right shoulder at Cayuga Street.

The State Patrol is responding to a rollover crash on the ramp from Cliff Road to southbound 35W in Burnsville.
