The commute is getting off to a rough start for commuters on I-35 both north and south of the metro area.

The northbound lanes of I-35 are closed at the Hwy. 19 exit due to a jackknifed semi truck ahead at milepost 71. Roads in Rice County very icy due to freezing rain and drizzle.

North of the metro in Rush City, a vehicle slid off the road and rolled over on southbound I-35. Icy conditions and blowing snow reported in the area.
