Traffic on Hwy. 10 from Elk River through Anoka and Coon Rapids is moving swiftly at this hour. That is a corridor that might see extra vehicles today as many of those who normally ride the Northstar line will likely be driving or carpooling.
Metro Transit called off Northstar service after a freight train derailed around 2:15 a.m. and blocked the tracks between Elk River and Ramsey.
