5:45 a.m. update: Overnight road work lifting on Hwy. 169

No, it's not a flashback to the nightmares that plagued motorists for weeks on Hwy. 169 across the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. It's only overnight road work that MnDOT crews are in the process of picking up the cones and reopening all the lanes.

There is a squeeze in place on 694 from Hwy. 252 and Central Avenue as overnight road work still has eastbound traffic down to a single lane from Hwy. 100 to Main Street. Westbound is heavy from Central Avenue to East River Road.

A reminder that northbound Penn Avenue is closed in Bloomington from Old Shakopee Road to 102nd Street for a gas line project.

In Orono, look for shoulder work along Hwy. 12 from County Road 146 to Old Crystal Bay Road.
