5:40 a.m. update: Spring Lake Park pedestrian bridge opens today

For those who travel on foot in Spring Lake Park, here's some good news. The pedestrian bridge over Hwy. 65 at 80th Street is scheduled to reopen today. It's been closed since June as crews installed a new deck and railings.

For those who travel on foot in Spring Lake Park, here's some good news. The pedestrian bridge over Hwy. 65 at 80th Street is scheduled to reopen today. It's been closed since June as crews installed a new deck and railings.

On the roads at this hour, some minor congestion is forming on northbound I-35 between County Road 2 and County Road 50, but it's still not a bad drive.

We are crash and incident free at the moment. Road work on westbound 694 at 35W has cleared as has the construction zone on eastbound 494 at Portland Avenue.
