5:40 a.m. update: Slick spots abound

Freeways have been plowed, but there are still icy spots and lots of slush making main roads slick. Already we have had a number of crashes.

Freeways have been plowed, but there are still icy spots and lots of slush making main roads slick. Already we have had a number of crashes.

The latest is on eastbound 94 in the area of 35W in Minneapolis. A couple vehicles are in the center median.

The ramp from northbound 169 to eastbound 394 remains closed due to a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi.

Eastbound 94 at Zane Avenue is still down to a single lane due to a wreck involving a semi.
