5:40 a.m. update: Drag out your winter driving skills

Roads are in horrendous condition. They are wet, icy, slushy and snow covered and that depends where you are. The further north and west you go, the worse the roads get.

It pains me to say this, but it's January all over again on the roads. At least we don't have the below zero temperatures to go with it.

Roads are in horrendous condition. They are wet, icy, slushy and snow covered and that depends where you are. The further north and west you go, the worse the roads get.

Right now we have a crash involving a box truck taking out the right lane of northbound 35E at Randolph Avenue in St. Paul.

Westbound 694 crawls along approaching Central Avenue where a semi is taking out the right lane.

Eastbound 94 suffers with a crash or spinout near Hemlock Lane.

Plan on adding extra time to your drive no matter where you go this morning.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
