The area's public transit providers say buses and trains are running as usual and will operate a full schedule as usual.

Metro Transit is encouraging riders to "please consider taking an earlier trip for your morning commute" while SouthWest Transit says delays are possible due to weather and traffic.

That will be true on Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, Plymouth Metrolink, BlueXpress and Maple Grove Transit buses, too.

Blue Line trains and Northstar Trains are operating on schedule.
