A vehicle and deer collided on northbound Cedar Avenue at Old Shakopee Road, and that has the left lane blocked.

A reminder, authorities with the Office of Traffic Safety says it's better to hit the deer rather than swerve. On Wednesday, a driver who attempted to swerve to miss a deer on I-35 near North Branch did that and it turned out to be fatal. He went into the median and was ejected from his vehicle when he over corrected, the State Patrol said.
