Wow. What a finish here in Class 4A.

Sartell-St. Stephen senior Cole Karsky, a straight-ahead kicker wearing a square-toed shoe, made a 28-yard field goal with 7 seconds left to give the Sabres a 31-29 victory over St. Thomas Academy.

The Cadets grabbed a 29-28 lead with 1:14 left in regulation when Augie Braddock hauled in a 46-yard TD pass on 4th-and-6. STA went for a two-point conversion and QB John Garry was able to sneak across the goal-line (many thought he was stopped short) to give the Cadets the lead.

Sartell led 28-14 in the fourth quarter and looked to be on the verge of wrapping up the game several times before having to rally at the end.
