Black Friday Schmiday. The deals have already begun without the hubbub on Friday. I'll point out a few and you can add any of your own.

Saks Off Fifth outlet on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis starts its 40 percent off EVERYTHING today (Tuesday) through noon on Black Friday. When I called to ask about exceptions, I got a surprising answer---Extraordinary Value items and clearance are discounted 50 percent, not 40. Even sunglasses, shoes, beauty products and jewelry get the discount as well as the clothes for women, men and kids. Call 612-333-7200 for details.

A great gift for anyone who has a car is a detail. Today's daily deal on Eversave is $109 for the platinum service, regularly $200. The price is a little higher than most daily deals for interior and exterior detailing, but this one at Steve's Automotive also includes an engine clean and degreaser. All cars are detailed in White Bear Lake but can be dropped off in Rosemount, Bloomington, Eagan or Cottage Grove. Note: If you have a larger venicle, you may be charged an additional $15 to $25.

The Strib's daily deal will save you time and money on holiday photo cards. So start looking for the photo of the family where you wore matching outfits you made from old drapes, a la Maria in "The Sound of Music." The cards range from 79 cents to $2 each before the 50 percent discount. With this deal you can get about 40 to 120 cards for $25. Simply take your photo to a National Camera Exchange location in Burnsville, Edina, Golden Valley, Roseville, or Maple Grove or go online and create your . Orders placed in the store will be ready to pick up within 7 business days. You'll be notified by email.

Two more: Thirty percent off sitewide at Lands End and 15 percent off at Wireless Catalog is you use discount code LNHR11.
