No surprise that with all the snow we have lots of crashes, and that has nobody moving fast.

A wreck on southbound 35E at W. 7th Street has traffic at a near standstill from downtown St. Paul past the scene.

The trip on northbound Hwy. 169 and Hwy. 100 from Crosstown up to 694/94 is running at 45 minutes or more.

Northbound 494 isn't moving much faster. A crash at Hwy. 7 has traffic inching along from Valley View Road. Ahead, the usual afternoon congestion has the freeway bumper to bumper from Hwy. 55 up to Rockford Road.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
