Two men and a woman were wounded Friday afternoon in a drive-by shooting in north Minneapolis' Jordan neighborhood.

Officers were called to the scene of a shooting outside a fourplex residence in the 1600 block of N. Hillside, in an area locals call Tangletown, about 1:30 p.m. They found the three victims lying outside the residence, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police spokesman John Elder.

According to emergency dispatch audio, a 57-year-old man was shot in the face and knee, while a 28-year-old man was shot in the shoulder. A 27-year-old woman suffered injuries to the hip.

Two of the victims were taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale and the other to HCMC, according to dispatchers. One is in critical condition, while the other two suffered noncritical wounds, police said.

The suspect vehicle was described as a silver Toyota Camry with a sunroof and damage to its left side, according to the transmissions. Witnesses told police that a group of people were gathered at the residence when an unknown suspect "hanging out of" the front passenger seat opened fire, dispatchers said. The car was last seen fleeing west.

Runny Gitchuway saw the chaos unfold as he came outside to smoke Friday afternoon. He heard a flurry of eight gunshots as his neighbors ran back toward their residence.

"I thought one of them got killed, but they actually made it to the porch. Somebody collapsed back there," said Gitchuway, who retreated inside and told his mother to call 911. "By that point, the shooters had taken off."

Investigators scoured the scene Friday, placing evidence markers near spent bullet casings in the street and photographing around the home. No arrests have been announced.
