Officials on Thursday released the identity of the driver who died in a three-vehicle collision Wednesday in Champlin, officials said.

The crash occurred about 11:20 a.m. on northbound Hwy. 169 at Hayden Lake Road, the State Patrol said.

The north side of the highway remained closed until well into the afternoon as investigators collected evidence.

The patrol identified the driver who died as Gena Corrine Zepeda, 55, of Ramsey.

According to the patrol:

A box truck was stopped in the northbound lane and waiting in the left turn lane at a red arrow.

A pickup truck in the right lane swerved into the left lane and hit an SUV. The SUV flipped and struck the stopped box truck.

Zepeda, the SUV's driver, died at the scene.
