A three-vehicle crash in a construction zone shortly before noon Friday east of St. Cloud briefly closed ore than 7 miles of Interstate 94 in both directions, authorities said.

The crash on westbound I-94 involved at least one of the three vehicles rolling over just west of the Clearwater exit, according to the State Patrol.

The closure ran west to the St. Augusta exit, the patrol said. Traffic was flowing again in both directions by about 1:20 p.m.

The road was dry at the time of the crash, which included at least one semitrailer truck, according to the patrol. A witness said a van and an SUV were also in the wreck.

There are injuries, but the patrol has yet to say how serious they are.

The area was undergoing road construction, which had the eastbound traffic shifted to the westbound side, leaving one lane for each direction.
