3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold was in the middle of performing a song during the band's Broomfield, Colorado, show when he stopped the music to yell at a man that had apparently hit a woman.
The incident was caught on camera by a concertgoer, which reveals that the entire show came to a halt when Arnold noticed a commotion in the audience.
"Hang on, hang on," he said, as he waved his hands to stop his fellow bandmates from continuing. "Hey, homie! You don't hit a woman. You just pushed a woman out of the way to get in a fight," he said, adding some expletives to make his point.
He then told security to remove the man.
The crowd immediately erupted in applause as Arnold kept yelling explicit comments at the offender.
The lights were turned on, and the man was promptly escorted out of the 1stBank Center.
In an interview with TIME, band member Chris Henderson said that Arnold had never stopped a concert over a brawl before.
