A number of communities have already declared snow emergencies (Minneapolis and St. Paul, too) and for good reason. Snow and the ice pack underneath it is making them treacherous. That's making it hard to stop.
I've heard about a few collisions in the vicinity of Eden Prairie Center and the streets just off Hwy. 212 and 494.
Reports of crashes and spinouts continue to roll in. Currently there are 17 crashes on the mainline roads.
