Aaron Gretz wasn't going to stop them all. After shutting out Blaine yesterday Gretz proved he is human here in the Class 2A state tournament by allowing an Edina goal at 10:47 of the opening period tonight. And that's where we stand after one period.
Blake Chapman connected for Edina, capping off a beautiful sequence for the Hornets in the Apple Valley zone.
Gretz has made some good stops; 15 total to keep Apple Valley in this one so far.
He isn't getting much help on the other side of the rink. The Eagles have just 3 shot on goal.
