A 20-year-old Minneapolis man has died from gunshot wounds after an overnight shooting in Columbia Heights Saturday, authorities said.

Columbia Heights police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Circle Terrace just before midnight on report of a shooting at a residence.

When officers arrived, they discovered a shooting had occurred and several people had left, including the shooting victim, the police department said in a news release.

Acquaintances took the victim to Unity Hospital in Fridley. He was then transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said there had been a gathering at the residence at the time of the shooting and the incident remains under investigation. Police are looking for multiple people of interest. No one is currently in custody, according to the news release.

Columbia Heights police, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office criminal investigations division, and the Hennepin County medical examiner's office are investigating the incident.
