Anoka County authorities on Thursday afternoon were still searching for two suspects who broke into a residence in Ham Lake, threatened the homeowners with a gun and stole electronics.

Two other suspects, a man and a juvenile, were arrested following the robbery that took place around 2 a.m. on the 9000 block of NE. Birchview Lane, said Capt. Paul Sommer of the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

The homeowners appear to have been targeted, Sommer said, saying one of the suspects "was at least acquainted with" one of the victims.

Four men wearing dark hoodies broke through the front door as a man and a woman who lived in the home were sleeping. The suspects had a long gun and threatened one of the residents. They also beat the male resident while demanding money from him, Sommer said. The suspects left with electronics.

The homeowners provided police with the license plate of the suspect's vehicle. A short time later, Blaine Police stopped a vehicle with two of the suspects inside. Police also confiscated a firearm and property belonging to the homeowners, Sommer said.

Both of the suspects who were arrested are from Blaine and were in being held in detention facilities. Two others suspects remain at large.

Anybody with information is asked to call the Anoka County Sheriff's Office at 763-427-1212.
